Student Orientation Session for Students Returning to Stoney Creek

Dear Families,

We are excited to see you all at Orientation on Thursday, September 10th and Friday, September 11th.

To ensure safety for all, please maintain social distancing, consider wearing a mask, and limit the number of family members in attendance (limit of one adult with student).

In adherence with social distancing protocols, we have divided everyone attending into 3 groups.

Thursday, September 10th
  • Students Grade 1-3 should arrive at school at 9:00am – 10:00am
  • They will meet on the school field behind the cones with their grade on it. (please maintain social distancing)
  • Teachers will call students one at a time and will take them to their classrooms.
  • Teachers will review the safety protocols established by the District and specific to the School and classroom.
  • We are inviting students to wear masks.

 

  • Students Grade 4-5 should arrive at school at 1:00pm – 2:00pm
  • They will meet on the school field behind the cones with their grade on it. (please maintain social distancing)
  • Teachers will call students one at a time and will take them to their classrooms.
  • Teachers will review the safety protocols established by the District and specific to the School and classroom.
  • We are inviting students to wear masks.

 

Friday, September 11th
  • Students Grade 6-7 should arrive at school at 9:00am – 10:00am
  • They will meet on the school field behind the cones with their grade on it. (please maintain social distancing)
  • Teachers will call students one at a time and will take them to their classrooms.
  • Teachers will review the safety protocols established by the District and specific to the School and classroom.
  • We are inviting students to wear masks.

Please note that this Orientation is only for students returning to school full time, not for students who have chosen one of the other options (Immunocompromised, Distributed Learning, or Transition).

Please note that more information will be shared on Friday about staggered start and end times for next week, when students will attend full time.
