Stoney Creek Community School Goal – 2021 – 2022
Our school goal for this year has been to improve the reading skills of our students. It is a goal that we have been working on for the past two years now. We measure the reading level of our students each year in the fall and spring using standardized assessments to see if improvements have been made.
Strategies/Programs we use include:
- Reading Recovery for Primary Students
- Daily Five
- Links to Literacy
- Levelled Literacy Intervention (LLI)
As well, classroom teachers utilize a variety of other instructional strategies to enhance and improve students’ Literacy skills through daily in-class instruction.
