The Stoney Creek Community Council is also known as a PAC or “Parent Advisory Council” in most schools.  However, since Stoney Creek is a “Community School”, the PAC is called a “Community Council”.  Parents, community partners, and local residents are invited to attend monthly meetings and to participate in discussions and provide input for decisions involving our school and community.  It is also a great way to come and meet other Stoney parents and hear school updates from Mr. Gurney, the Principal and school/community updates from Ms. Briscoe, the Community School Coordinator.

Stoney Creek Breakfast Program: Our Stoney Creek Breakfast Program will start the week of September 15, 2025! This free program offers a light breakfast from 8:30 am to 8:50 am for students who might not have a chance to eat before school or who could use a little extra nutrition to start their day.  Stay tuned for more details on how to sign up your child(ren). Just a quick note: this program is designed to provide nutritional support and is not intended as a childcare option.

Volunteer Opportunity – Stoney Creek Breakfast Program: Our Breakfast Program is made possible thanks to the amazing parents and community members who volunteer their time, as well as the generous support of our community partners. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped serve breakfast to our students over the years.

We couldn’t serve breakfast without our Volunteers!  Volunteering is simple — even helping one morning a week from 8:30 am – 8:50 am (for example, every Wednesday from September to June) makes a big difference. If we have enough volunteers, we can create a rotating schedule so shifts are shared (e.g., every other month).

👉 Sign up to volunteer for the Breakfast Program hereThank you for considering this opportunity to support our students with a healthy start to their day!
