BREAKFAST PROGRAM VOLUNTEER NEEDED – Thursday mornings – If you are able to help volunteer for Stoney Creek’s Breakfast program on Thursday mornings, we are looking for a parent helper from 8:30 am – 8:50 am. Please email Taryn.Briscoe@burnabyschools.ca if you are interested. Thank you!
Parks & Rec Survey Reminder – The Burnaby Parks and Recreation Department has developed a new survey for families to help find out more about which Parks and Rec services and programs they would like to see more of in their neighbourhoods and schools. Please click the appropriate link below (preschool or school aged children) if you would like to provide your input. This will help them in their planning of future activities for your children.
Community Sharing Request – we would like to learn more about our community’s cultures and traditions. More details are on the attached flyer. If you have something you are interested in sharing please complete this form.
Dental Resources from Fraser Health – Many families do not have private dental insurance, but they may be eligible to apply for the following programs:
- Healthy Kids Program – children under the age of 19 years may be eligible for basic dental services.
- Canadian Dental Care Plan – children under the age of 18 years who do not have access to a private dental insurance plan.
- UBC Dentistry – offers a free dental program for children 12 years and younger. Please see the attached application form.
- Affordable dentistry options for children – Fraser Health Authority
2nd APPLE FUNDRAISER – last chance! The Stoney Creek Community Council (PAC) will be offering another opportunity to purchase apples. This will be your last chance to order these delicious apples for the season. Sales are open until November 9th and orders will be delivered on November 19th. Click HERE to order your apples! The Burnaby Christmas Bureau provides Christmas cheer to people with low income living in Burnaby through our Toy Room and Seniors Hamper Program. This continues to be challenging times for many people and we are anticipating great need again for families with children, and seniors with low income.
