COMMUNITY NEWS:
Contribution for Stoney Creek Staff Appreciation – This year to show our appreciation for the staff, a group of Stoney Creek students have made cards to which we will add a small gift for each staff member. This is an opportunity for us, the parents, students and community, to show our wonderful Stoney Creek Staff how appreciative and thankful we are for all that they do all year round. These funds will be directed specifically to Staff Appreciation through the Stoney Creek Community Council. To contribute, please log into School Cash Online where you will find the “Contribution for Stoney Creek Staff Appreciation” item. Deadline to contribute is Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

Stoney Creek Volunteer Tea – Stoney Creek staff and students would like to show our appreciation for all of the parents and community members who have helped out this school year! Whether you drove students, shopped for BBQ supplies, walked on field trips, helped at special events, read in classrooms, served at the breakfast program, served lunches, knit scarves at lunch, helped at movie nights and the Fun Fair, your contributions made a difference in the lives of our students and school community. Please RSVP HERE if you can attend our Volunteer Tea on Monday, June 10th @ 8:30 am – 9:30 am in the gym. (RSVPs are due by Friday, June 6th at 9:00 am please.) Also, big thanks to our FUN REC staff who will be out on the playground from 8:30 am – 8:50 am to help supervise the students who arrive early with parents for the Volunteer tea.
Dressing For Warm Weather – as we start to get hotter weather, please make sure your children dress appropriately for the weather, bring their water bottles, hats, sunscreen, etc as there will still be time outside each day and it can get hot in the play areas.
