Reporting Information to Parents & Guardians

For the 2020/2021 school year, Stoney Creek Community School is particiatping in a pilot on communicating student learning. This is a project we are working on with the Burnaby School District and the Ministry of Education. This pilot project will help to keep parents better informed as to their child’s progress in school. As you can see from the attached timeline, you can expect more frequent points of progress contacts from your childs teacher throughout the year. please note the most significant change for this first terms is that there will not be a formal report card in December as in previous years. For the first informal report in November, all staff will be using a standard template but in the future your childs teacher may be using other forms of informal reporting as outlined on the chart.
